My trip to Taiping then to Penang last December. Basically there to help the church with photos, and some of the activities they had planned there and enjoy ourselves for one and a half days in Penang.

Quick flight to Penang Airport, BYE SINGAPORE.

Then changing to a mini van to get to Taiping from Penang.

First day at the church was basically cleaning up and preparing for our event.

On the event day, i spent most of my time with the children while their parents attended the service.

Activities and fun for the kids who all have infinite amount of energy, can't deny I'm getting older for things like this :P

Bali Getaway (Part Two)

Finally! First post of the year! The long overdue post because i had to focus on my finals in school and i was lazy busy with other stuffs. To be frank, we didn't go according to the itinerary due to delays, travel time, blah blah blah and it had been few months since the trip so I'm just gonna share some photos of the places we've visited (Not in order)

Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Bus dropped us off along this super narrow road crowded with people, tour buses, vans and jeeps which is on a slope. Be extra careful while crossing the road here.

Tourist shops, Tourist shops everywhere!

Kitamani/ Mt Batur

We had lunch at Kitamani, the air outside is cooler than the air conditioning on the bus.(unless your bus is a basically a fridge on wheels)
Mt Batur from Kitamani, It's still an active volcano!

Musicians for the performance, I'm telling you, Balinese music will get stuck in your head because everywhere you go, you'll hear it!

Indonesia is the biggest Muslim country in the world but it's a different story for this island, this part of Indonesia has the most number of Hindus, like over 90% of indonesia's hindus reside here on Bali and there are thousands of Hindu temples here.

Before you could enter, you would be asked to wear the sarong, there would be vendors pressing you to buy sarongs from them but you don't have to if you don't want to because it will be provided at the entrance of the temples. Ladies, don't wear something that shows much skin if you intend to visit the local temples.

That's me in sarong.

Tampak Siring Temple. This is a water temple! You'll see why.
*P.S. Ignore the almost naked man*

First thing we were glued to at this place was...
Fishes, fishes that eats crackers! HAHAHA

Walk further in...
IMG_8653

Locals believe that water from the springs of the temple can wash away bad luck, evil, basically everything that's believed to be bad.
*There are designated pools for washing, please don't jump into and pond you see. :P*

They also have this viewing tower over at their front, not advisable if you are afraid of heights.

The stairs is basically a two way but only one lane, if it's crowded, it might take you awhile to go up or come down.

Not sure what this is called... just enjoy the photo.

This made my leg go a little jelly, doesn't look that high up in photos, you've gotta experience it for yourself!

Selca is a must
Untitled

What's even cooler about this place is, the temple actually looks like a little island by itself when the tide comes in. You can actually walk over to it when it's low tide!
IMG_8717

Anyway practice extra caution and avoid going near the water if you do not have a change of clothes with you there or if you and carrying non waterproof/resistant devices because the waves are HUGE. A group of friends got an accidental salty shower there.

Just a couple of minutes away, there are rows and rows of shops.
Being a millionaire there, you know what we say to shopping!

IMG_8725

Here Kuta Beach! Beaches! Everyone love beaches! Waves here are good for surfing for beginners.

That's all!! But there's alot more places to visit in Bali and I'm already planning another trip there this year.

You know what i say!!
Oppa Bali Style!

Oppan Bali Style!

*Flies away, Back to Singapore*
